Art Lab: Introduction to Game Design

We are popping up at Spinners Mill in Leigh with our family activities. Join us to learn about creative and digital processes! We show you how to become a game designer as you have a go making your own interactive video games. Take inspiration from the machinery in the mill to create you backdrops and game characters. This workshop is most suitable for ages 8+, however children aged 5+ are welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Tiny Tech: Coding is Child’s Play

Tiny Tech is our new programme for little people aged 5 and under!£2 per session, drop inAll children must be accompanied by an adult Join us on a Scratch Junior programming adventure where you and your children can work together to code simple games and animations. Learn about what code does and how easy it is to piece code commands together to run your own piece of software. About Tiny Tech These sessions are facilitated by Vicky from our Education Team. She ensures the sessions are educational, inspiring and above all lots and lots of fun. Sessions are 90 minutes long but small people are welcome to drop in and out as they like. The sessions are held in our comfy Art Lab which is equipped with lots of engaging STEAM toys such as lego, building straws, and robot. There's even squashy bean bags to chill out on!

Tiny Tech is our new programme for little people aged 5 and under!£2 per session, drop inAll children must be accompanied by an adult Together we will explore what materials and methods make a strong bridge and what don’t. We will have lots of fun building and testing, plus we will see how ramps can help our vehicles go faster. Why not bring your favourite toys with wheels and they can be our test pilots? Craft Night: Stained Glass Lanterns
